Oh Lordy Mercy

"You're the only person who could give your kids stripper nicknames" -My Mom

Self fulfilling prophecy? Maybe, judging recent behavior. Every time my kids get dressed they feel the need to shake their naked butts at either me or The Man. While doing this they yell "Naked BUTT!!" The first time, cute. Now, concerning.

"They don't grade fathers, but if your daughter's a stripper...you f-ed up!" - Chris Rock

  10. I think babies just like to test their boundaries a bit...and shake their booties. If they are still doing it in 5 years or so, concern might be very appropriate!

  11. Great Chris Rock quote. So true. My two-year-old is a total nudist. She hates clothes and takes them off at least 7 times a day. And it worries my mother to no end. She wants to know why Avery doesn't have any clothes on every time she comes over. Like I'm just not dressing her or something. Wait, this is turning into a rant about my mother when I meant it to be a comment in support of you and you bootie shaking kids. Oops.

  12. I thought that was acceptable behavior...am I wrong thinking that? I feel that it is important to share my nake butt. It's a nice butt. It should be seen.

  13. I remember when Carter was little and he climbed on the coffee table (the one in front of the window in the living room) totally naked and played the harmonica. My neighbor is still laughing about it.

  18. Hey, my uptight neighbors gave their daughters real stripper names, as my husband likes to point out every time we see one of the girls.

I think you're safe with the nicknames and the nudity. My kid has always run around naked shaking his goods. Glad I have a boy, though!

  21. Good call Chris Rock, if your daughter end up being a stripper then you done fucked up. But what if your son became a pimp? Should you be proud? Hmmm.....

  22. When I started sprouting tiny boob-nubs, I used to jump up and down in front of my poor family and make them witness the jiggle.

Then I'd squeeze my butt and show them the cottage cheese. God damn if I didn't realize how much I'd hate it someday.

  23. I LOOOOOOVE that Chris Rock routine! So funny.

My boys do their fair share of naked booty shaking and slapping, too. It makes me crazy some days and makes me laugh hysterically on others. Watcha gonna do??
