Two fails, two days. Well, at least I am averaging 100%. So
yesterday was my husbands birthday. My awesome, handsome, loving, forgiving husband's birthday. Yeah. I was convinced it was
today. I DID however figure it out at 3:30pm yesterday that I was completely wrong. Thankfully I already had his present (non-fail) but I hadn't baked him a cake (fail). So, after I picked up LaLa from school I hauled my massive failing bootay to the commissary and picked up a cake, some icing, and candles. Total fail averted.
This morning, KiKi was pitching a fit because she didn't want to go to school. I made her go anyway; crying, kicking and screaming. Mommy fail. I asked how she did when I picked her up this afternoon. She had quit crying as soon as I left her classroom. Ya know, after making me feel like a complete failure as a parent. Parenting fail redeemed.

There must be something in the air. I've had a total fail week now. We need to reverse this immediately, any ideas?
Had a few fails myself this week. Don't stress over it.
Okay, I forget stuff like that all the time, I know its awful and may not help...but it does happen to people...
Only two? That's practically victorious!

I think motherhood is set up that way, for us to feel like we're failing an awful lot, when in fact, we are rockin' the house!
She was fine when you left so you obviously are NOT a fail. AND you remembered the birthday in time. So you didn't fail there either.
(Stop grading yourself so hard!)
I forgot it was my SIL's birthday yesterday then sent a hurried text late on. Fail here too.
:)
I wouldn't call those fails. Around here it's just the usual.
Oh, Happy Belated Birthday to the man! And cake is cake, no matter when you get it. If I got a cake a month after my birthday, I'd still be excited. Mmmm. Cake.
LOL! Already forgetting birthdays...wow! HA! I forgot my mother's birthday this year...two days later I was sitting at the park drinking a beer thinking about the month of May when I almost catapulted my ass from my chair in panic! I called immediately. She wasn't as concerned as I was.
You recovered all so no fail at all. Well done.
x
I have a few fails myself - forgetting to send my son lunch, not giving Little Kong a piece of cake after his homework like i promised to..need i go on?
Heh...um, here, we'd say that's just another day! I just wish every day had cake, though!
Well happy birthday to your husband! Sounds like you didn't do too bad.
I wouldn't call that a fail. You did remember it was his birthday and he did get cake.
Happy Birthday to your Hubbie!
I never fail so I don't know what you're talking about. And my wife's birthday is only 5 days after mine so I never forget.
The best part? When you go to pick her up and she acts like you're going to beat her. Tugs the heart strings every time.
I'm a big failure when it comes to birthdays, though to be fair I pretty much forget my own unless reminded.
But did he know you had (temporarily) failed or is that our little secret?
You did not fail...you found away over the hurdles.
How is the moving coming along?
I think most kids actually have 2 fully functional but contrasting emotional systems - one that functions in front of parents and the real one that kicks on as soon as parents are out of sight.
Birthdays. I'm really not going to go their.
YOU. . . . are a total success!
A few close calls but no fails in my book!
Fails? Pshaw! "Learning opportunities" as we say in the architecture biz :)
You're cool, Kat, don't worry...
You forgot your husband's birthday? What did you score on my autism test?
