Dear So and So...It's Gonna Be A Good Day Tater

Dear Lawnmower,

You are new and lovely and still in your box. Please don't be a pain the the backside to assemble. I really would like to get my grass in the garden cut at some point today. I don't want to be sitting on the pavement in the garden swearing at the top of my lungs at a gigantic hunk of metal. I would like to leisurely assemble you while bird chirp and bunnies hop around me...like a modern day Snow White.

Dear Sam Kitty (aka. Ninja Cat),

What is up with this loud moaning meow that you have started doing lately. You sound like you are in heat...but your a dude cat who's missing his equipment. It doesn't make sense!! Please stop.

Dear Elizabeast,

I am so glad that you are feeling better. I didn't think your back/legs were ever going to heal up properly. I was serious looking into a wheelie harness thing for you if you didn't improve or got worse. Now you are well though and that is super great. Well, except for one thing. Can you please quit jumping on my sofas? Thanks in advance.

Dear Friends Who Have Done Me Ginormous Favors In the Last Two Weeks,

Debbie, thanks for letting me borrow you lawnmower and watching my dog while I was down in London for the weekend. Seriously, you are worth your weight in gold and I owe you so big.

Kristie, My kids had a blast at your house and are still talking about it. Thank you so so so much. If you EVER need a baby sitter holler at me (Like when you have the movers at your house and you don't want kids under foot).

Sam (not the Kitty) You are awesome and you make a mean cup of tea when I need to have an emotional breakdown (like when people steal my things). Your hubby is also awesome since he cooked me dinner that night. I really cannot thank you guys enough.

I really do have wonderful friends. *sigh*

Love, Kat

Dear Ghost In My House,

Not. Cool. At. All. You just scared the bejebus out of me when you open and closed the cabinet. Stop that mess!! I know you're here. Just take a chill pill.

A Bit Freaked,Kat

Dear Readers,

I know you love me and want to link up today!!! Remember, your Dear So and So letters don't have to be mean they can be nice and lovely too. Sometimes it is nice to thank people. Have a lovely weekend.

Well, I Have It...

As a present to ourselves my husband and I bought new bedroom furniture. A new bed and mattress being the most important of the investments. We used to have a four poster bed with an OK mattress. This was given to us as a wedding present. The four poster was broken on our move to the UK. OK, actually, the four poster was originally damaged by my husband and then completely broke on our international move. The mattress had slowly over our eight years of marriage gone from OK to "Oh My Goodness If I Get Poked With One More Spring!" It was definitely time for a new bed.

On Friday our beautiful new cherry sleigh bed was delivered. I tried my damnedest to put it together myself. HA! I struggled and struggled, broke a sweat, cursed, and then deemed the task impossible. Note to self: this bed requires two people to put together. On Saturday after my husband woke from his work induced coma we put the bed together. Not that we would get to sleep in it Saturday night because we had made plans to stay at a friend's house, but the bed was assembled. Bed together, no Kat sleeping it in night one.

Yesterday I was so excited because- I get to sleep in my new bed tonight!!! Guess what? I have had my bed assembled for two nights and have yet to sleep in it. I fell asleep in KiKi's bed at midnight when she was having trouble getting back to sleep. I didn't actually realize that I had fell asleep there until six this morning when after running to the front door because the dogs were barking (yes, dogs not dog) (another story) only to find nothing there, then wandering back into my room (where I thought I had come from because I was that is how asleep I still was despite being on my feet, walking and talking(actually cursing at the dogs)) only to realize that The Man was sprawled across the whole bed and there was no way I had been sleeping there. Crap. OK, maybe, just maybe I will get to sleep in my own brand new bed tonight.

So So Tired

Oh man what a weekend. I am so fatigued. Friday luau, Friday night Karaoke, Saturday recovery, Saturday Night Olympics, Sunday school work ALLLLL day long. I didn't finish my school work until 12:30 am last night, 20 min before the deadline for assignments to be turned in. It was also about an hour past my bedtime. I am old, us old people go to bed early. Or so I have been told.

So how was everyone else's weekend? I hope everybody had lots of fun. I know I did...right up until I started the school work. And for the record, having 3 essays due on one day is brutal. Especially if you didn't start your history essay which needs to be roughly 6 pages double spaced *cough* until the day it was due. OOPS! In all fairness, I know I was the slacker. It is my last semester. I deserve some slackerdom.

At Least Elizabeast and Sam got some naps in this weekend.
