The UK Explained

I often have found myself trying to explain to my American friends back home the dynamics of the UK. Thankfully I found this over at Almost American's blog. I think it pretty much sums it up.

That is purely, absolutely, fully genius.

It needs to be printed on Fish & Chip shop paper to be entirely accurate.

Mmmm....rugby. They just started playing it on Spike over here. I happened upon it one day. I now seriously heart rugby. They really need to strip down a few of our football players and see if they pass muster. Cuz if they look that good in shorts, I might just start watching football.

Beer in the middle unites the country...good one.

One things puzzles me - no football. Which is a bit of an omission in any Venning of the British, if you ask me.

That is a wonderful explanation.

That's very good, especially beer being in the centre. Also in the centre should be 'crap public transport'. There should be an indication that the Scots and Irish are nutters and the Welsh are a bit odd. The English, of course, are normal.

so I've got a good shot of getting through customs with an armful of Guinness when I make a visit?

Beer - the common denominator - that's AWESOME! I've often wondered and I'm so glad you cleared that up.

Beer is in the middle. What country could go wrong with that?
