1:30 AM and Jet Lagged

I never learn. I go back to the states and arrive at night go to bed and poof- no jet lag. I come back to the UK, try my damnedest to stay awake then go to bed, sleep til noon- jet lag (yes I know the sleeping til noon part is the part that messes me over). I can't sleep. My body clock is rebelling. In fact, despite the fact that it is nearly 2 am I don't feel a bit sleepy. My kids are also out of whack. LaLa stayed up until 11pm. KiKi went to bed at 9pm, woke at 12am for a bit then went back to sleep. The good news? It is still the school holidays and I have plenty of recorded shows to watch.

Join the club....I never have problems when we fly to Canada but on our return to the UK we really struggle. We've had 3 nights of 2am and 3am starts with our daughter. Hoping to crack it today....
I still have jet lag after going to Florida in 1992! I'll never forget those few days of complete tiredness.

funny, but it always hits me in reverse.

Must just be the coming home part!

Get some rest, sweet friend!
Wow, I've never tried to take my kids over time zones but it is hard enough when I do it I can't imagine my kids doing it without going insane and being up in the middle of the night!!

Here's hoping the kids and you all recover fast!

I'm lucky as I don't get jet lagged except when I went to Australia. Landed in Sydney and felt I hated the place. Kept feeling like this for 3 days and then suddenly realised I didn't hate the place at all - it was severe jet lag. I absolutely loved it from then on!
I have the same experience as you. When I travel west, from NY to Hawaii, I don't have any trouble. When I head back to NY, it takes me days to get acclimated. I always thought it would be the other way around.
Poor you! Hope it sorts itself out! At least you got to go somewhere far enough away to cause jet-lag!
Awwwww
