Hey! It's time for Dear So and So....you ready???
Dear Those in Car Parks,
Yes, I have had many gripes about parking areas in the years past. However, I must point out that if parking is in really close quarters you shouldn't open your door as fast as possible. My poor Jeep does not appreciate the paint transfer.

Dear Beast,
You kinda smell like Fritos. Maybe it is time for a bath?
Your Human Mama, Kat

Dear Sam Kitty,
Yes, it really is that cold outside. Yes, that is ice. Sorry for the inconvenience, Your Highness.
Love, That Woman Who Feeds You, Kat
-----------------
Dear LaLa,
As much as I am tickled pink that you are enamoured with math, really, I am, 10pm is not the time to be sneaking in in extra math exercises. You are more than welcome to do math problems when you get home, before school....well, basically anytime other than when you are supposed to be sleeping. Falling asleep in class is counter productive, trust me on this.
Love, Mom

Dear Electric Company,
I swear all these lights that are on are not my fault. They are also not the fault of the shorter winter days. They are the fault of my 4 year old daughter who insists upon turning on the lights in every single room she enters. Bill her.
Fed Up, Kat

Dear Readers,
Please don't forget to link up your letters!!!

RTT-Swirly Thoughts
Good morning ladies and gents. I haven't don't Random Tuesday Thoughts in a while so I thought I would give it a go and see what materializes. It is like Forest Gump said "Life like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get," only with thoughts. Oh and go visit the grand dame of RTT Keely. She doesn't bite...hard.

- At night I swear I am going to go to bed by 10pm and never make it there before midnight. Ever. You know what they say about the road to hell* and all... hell being the next morning when I have to wake up at 7am.
- Last night I got a horrible belly ache around 9pm. I then sat on the couch willing myself not to be sick whist watching Britain's Next Top Model, Dating in the Dark and then some documentary about the lack of equality in the British school system...no wonder I was so ill.
- My washing machine is on the fritz. I can't call the repair man until this next load of laundry is finished washing though because it has all my jeans in it. Can't go pick up KiKi in my knickers (fortunately for all those around me).
- It took me 2 hours to help clean** LaLa's room last night. Maybe inheriting that huge tub of Littlest Pet Shop toys from my friends tween was a bad idea. There is around 150 of JUST the animals not including all their little accessories. Pain in my rear. Just say "no" to LPS.
- KiKi got her first reading book with words. The second time reading through it she started to recognize the words mum, and, & dad by sight. W00t!!
- LaLa is studying Pablo Picasso at school right now. She spent two days drawing a "Picasso" picture for her teacher, not because she was assigned to do so, but because she wanted to. It was really sweet this morning when she presented it to her teacher and her teacher exclaimed "What a beautiful Picasso!!"
- Rain rain go away, come again another day. Seriously. I can't handle anymore rain right now. Plus it is destroying the bottom cuffs of my jeans....hence why all pairs of my jeans are in the wash.
*The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
**By help clean I mean I sat the the middle of the floor and directed traffic***
*** By directing traffic I mean I barked orders at LaLa and reminded her that her Wii was going to be mine until she got her room clean and kept it clean for a week.

RTT- Ballroom Blitz
Don't mind the title, I just have that song stuck in my head. It is Tuesday after all. Time for some random bits and bobs from my head! Aren't you excited? Now, please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle, those who are pregnant or have heart conditions should speak to their GP before participating, small children are prohibited from participating and I hope you brought your Dramamine because apparently my mind can induce motion sickness. Oh, and thank the hostess with the mostess, Keely, for this lovely day of random by clicking the purple button. And here we go.....

Clean, mess, clean, mess, clean, clean, mess, mess, mess. Do you know what I am talking about??
Sam Kitty has become my alarm clock. Every morning at half seven he comes into my bedroom, pushes his nose against my eyeball and purrs loudly. Well good morning to you too, Sam.
KiKi's new cartoon obsession is Tom and Jerry. Hooray for old school cartoons that would never pass muster today. TNT, guns, slapping, hitting, food fights, nope, it would never see the light of day now.
I need to go buy a new duvet, but I can't be arsed. Making due with multiple blankets and a 6 year old who sleeps with her feet wedged in my back.
Trying to explain to most Brits where I live (other than Brits from this area) is almost impossible...do you know where such and such town is? No. How bout here? No. What about here? Well, I've heard of that place...but no...*head desk* The joys of living in the middle of nowhere.
Potentially involved in big photography project (no, I am not the photographer). Stay tuned.
By the time the World Cup rolls around I will be a footy (soccer for all you Yanks..LOL) expert. I have been watching it a lot lately. I need to pick a team to support. Any suggestions? PS-I am pretty much sure that the media here in England is sabotaging the national teams chances. Every other day one of the members of the squad makes the front page for private matters.
KiKi is re-potty trained in case any of you were wondering. It is lovely.
It has gotten to the point where I am so used to using British sayings that I have a hard time thinking of American ones. I am being assimilated into the collective. Good thing? Bad thing? Or as Ivana Trump would say "It is what it is" (you can thank Celebrity Big Brother for that...)

Random Tuesday Thoughts-Lets See How Much We Can Embarrass Ourselves Today!
It's Tuesday! You know what that means. Time for Random Tuesday Thoughts! This is the part of this little blog where I unload all the things swirling around my head on you, my helpless victims readers. You can thank Keely for this.
So Wednesday I was doing laundry (haha big surprise) and I decided since it was such a lovely day outside I was going to dry the laundry outside on the line. The clothes line I have is one of the ones that is a pole with arms that come off the side with line running around the arms like a spider web. It was collapsed for the winter of course and that meant I had to set it up. No problem right? Ha! That is what I thought. It goes up like an umbrella, how hard can it be? After 10 minutes of struggling with it, I looked around and thought to myself, "Man it is a good thing I live back off the road and my back garden is fenced in because I look like a gigantic dork doing this!" I finally got it set up after much cussing and even more will power because dammit my bath mats are going to dry out on the clothes line!!!

I was on the computer last Tuesday night talking to my friend ChurchPunkMom and discussing some shoes her husband wants but are only available in the UK. I needed to bookmark the page so I could remember where to find them, etc. and I couldn't figure out how to bookmark it on Safari (have only been using it a week) and so I asked Captain Dumbass. I think the conversation went something like this:
Kat- How do you bookmark things on Safari?
Him- You go to the bookmarks tab. Are we good enough friends that I can call you a dumbass?
Me- Of course! *dies a little inside*
I was at the commissary the other day and found My Precious Cherry Coke Zero. Apparently My Precious Cherry Coke Zero is only stocked about once a month or maybe once every two months, hid in the back of the store and they only order one pallet of it. I grabbed three 12 packs. Always thinking ahead.
Google really pisses me off sometimes. I don't have my Blogger acct (owned by google) and email acct under the same google identity so in order to follow blogs I have to jump through hoops. What happened to following with one little push of a button? Google, you need to get your act together, bro!
LaLa was so excited about getting to wear summer dresses to school that she walked around for about an hour holding the sides of her dress like she was a princess. Kid has issues.
I mowed the lawn for the first time ever in my life on Friday afternoon. I am pretty sure I lost my legs somewhere in the back garden. If anyone finds them could you return them! Just ring the bell at the side door.
I made the mistake of telling LaLa that Tinkerbell wasn't real and she sang "Tinkerbell isn't reeeeeaaaal" for about a hour solid. I think she was in her own way mourning Tinkerbell. Geez this kid is gonna take it hard when I tell her about Santa, The Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.
Yesterday Elizabeth got a piece of play doh stuck in her nose. At first I thought, oh it'll just come out. Then my neurosis' kicked in and I was thinking "Oh my God she could inhale that and it could get stuck and she could die!" So I picked her nose. Yes, I picked my dogs nose because I was afraid she would die from play-doh.
Ok I think I have done enough embarrassing myself for this week. Check out the rest of the Random Tuesday posts by clicking that picture up there and reading the rest of them that are posted a Keely's place.

Sneaking In
Preface: My husband and I were sitting around one night, fooling around (not that kind of fooling around you pervs) and talking about dumb things that we did as teenagers. You would have thought my husband had been a drama geek in high school based on the following scenario that he preformed for me that night. Keep in mind that I gave all the characters their names because my husband used the names of some of our friends in the acting out of this little production, but also that I don’t condone underage drinking…well now, that I am a grown up… and a parent. I mean really is it a surprise to all of you guys that I used to raise a bit of hell in high school? Probably not. So here is The Man’s take on a group of drunk teens trying to sneak back into one of their houses. He portrayed the role of Joe. I was sitting on the couch laughing my butt off and he used me as a prop or extra cast mate (I am supposed to be Kelsey).
Cast-
Main Character-Joe (Drunk)
Friend #1- Craig (Drunk)
Friend #2- Marcus (Sober)
Friend #3- Evan (Drunk)
Friend #4- Kelsey (Drunk)
Scene- Quiet suburban street. Joe and his friends walking home from a party, They are kind of loud and joking with each other until they reach Joe’s house. Then Joe gets quiet and starts speaking in a loud whisper. You know the kind of whisper you use when you are drunk but you are trying to be sneaky.
Joe- “Aye Aye! I got a plan. I think I can get to my cell phone that my mom confiscated earlier, but we got to sneak in.” Joe shoots looks at all the others in the group.
(Giggling)
Joe gives Kelsey the evil eye.
Joe- “Shhhh. I’m serious guys. You know my mom stays up late, so we got to be really quiet. Hush Craig. I am talking here. I got a plan. Now here’s the plan,”
Joe drunkenly sways and makes some karate like movements to emphasis his point.
Joe-“Ok now..Marcus, your sober right? “ Joe Point at Marcus and sways a bit then catches his balance.
Joe-“Ok well you need to go sit in the truck, cause you are going to be our get away driver. What you don’t have a license? Crap.” Joe smacks his forehead in frustration. “Ok, well it looks like we are going to have to make our get away on foot. Shut up Evan! Geez, you guys I am trying to be quiet here. Do you want to get caught. You know my mom will call all your parents. Ok? Ok. Now what we have to do is make some sort of distraction. I am 85%, no wait, 90.9999999% positive that my mom is upstairs watching TV in the family room. So what we are going to have to do is sneak around back. Not yet Evan! Crap sorry guys, that was a little loud. Ok, so we need to sneak onto the back porch.”
(Giggling)
Joe shoots Kelsey the Evil eye once again.
Joe-“Hush Kelsey, or you can go sit in the truck. Gawd. You guys are going to get us caught. Now my cell phone is in my mom’s dresser. Yes I know it is there Marcus. I saw her put it there when I got in trouble earlier. Top right drawer. Or was it the second drawer. Anyways , it is in her dresser. Aye! Shut up, it is there I swear!”
Joe makes a wide sweeping gesture and puts his hand over his heart like he is being extremely solemn.
(More giggling)
Joe shoots Kelsey death daggers of hatred looks because she is interrupting his instructions once again.
Joe-“Kelsey go wait over there next to the truck. There is no way I am going to let your drunk ass get me in MORE trouble. Marcus go wait with her and make sure she doesn’t wander off alright. As I was saying…sneak onto porch. Then we need to take our shoes off so she won’t hear us. Remember, my dad is asleep in the bedroom where the phone is too. So we need to be really really, really really really quiet. Evan! Put your shoes back on. Geez you are gonna get your socks dirty and get it on my mom’s carpet. Yeah like then she won’t notice that we have been here, ya know, cause she won’t see big old foot prints on her white carpet. OK, back porch, shoes off…ok then we are gonna belly crawl to my parents room. It is important that we are quiet. Then I will open the door to my parents room. Then Craig, ok how drunk are you? Not too bad? Alright well then you belly crawl to my mom’s dresser…first one on the left. Go to the first drawer on the right side and my cell phone should be in there. What about the dog? Crap I forgot about the dog. Alright change of plan. You guys get Marcus to walk everyone home. There is no getting past that damn dog. He will wake the whole house up as soon as he hears the back door open. No I am sure that I will probably get in trouble. Crap. How drunk do I look? No, seriously. Do you think I can act sober. Alright let me practice. Hi mom, nope we were just playing video games. Drinking? Who me? Guys where are you going? Some friends you are. I hope you all get caught. Crap. Alright might as well get this over with.
Joe stumbles inside.

Soggy Sunday Morning
Warning the post contains random things that are floating around in this mixed up mind of mine. There is no rhyme or reason to this post. So please excuse the discombobulation.
It is a nice chilly and quite soggy sunday morning here in England. I think it is somewhere near 40 degrees outside and very cloudy. I think it must have rained earlier, but I wasn't awake to see that event. In any case I think most of my day is going to be spent indoors, not at the hotel hopefully, but indoors in any case. Yesterday we spent all day inside the hotel, well when we weren't hunting for the blue folder that has been lost in the mix of shuffling between here and D's house. There was nothing EXTREMELY important in the folder, it is just annoying to lose something and my husband got his OCD on and was hunting for it all day long.
Anyhoo, last night we were completely bored and not at all tired after the girls went to sleep. I suggested watching a movie, he wasn't feeling it. Next thing I know this game was on the computer screen. Flight of the Hamsters? Yes. I was in stitches laughing at this game. Concept of the game is to get the cute little goggle wearing hamster to fly as far as possible, using the rockets, hamster balls, and springs to your favor. I am serious folks.
Speaking of hamsters. I am not really a fan. I used to work in a pet store when I was in college and those little bastards are mean. When I used to place the food dish in the cage of the little Siberian Dwarf Hamsters, those little wolves would cirlcle my hand like it was a Christmas ham. I took to wearing a gardening glove when I would feed the hamsters in order to prevent their little rat razor teeth from biting me. I used to try to get people to buy gerbils instead of hamsters because I thought that the hamsters were so vile.
Couple of Things About England that I am Befuddled by:
-OK, I understand that their is a law that you can not have any type of drink while you are driving in England, but seriously, no cup holders? Last night I went to get dinner for my husband and I (the kids had had chicken nuggets) and I had 2 drinks to get home. I ended up carrying one drink between my legs and holding the other one on top of the emergency break while driving and hoping that I didn't A) spill either drink in my lap and in the rental car and B) wreck the rental car on the way back to the hotel. I made it back to the hotel with both car and cups intact but I couldn't help to think that this would have been a whole lot easier if there had been at least one cup holder.
-The toilets here have a button on the back of them to flush not a little handle on the side. I keep reaching for the side of the toilet to flush. Oh and some of the buttons are split in half. Push one half to do a little flush, push both to do a big flush. I guess 1 for #1 and 2 for #2.
I got an award from Mama Dawg over at Two Dogs Running. Thanks MD! This award apparently comes with rules. You know how I feel about rules, but since Mama asked nicely I will comply.
The qualifications to receive the award are:
A. Display a cheerful attitude. (Umm if you say so..)
B. Love one another. (I guess I can try..)
C. Make mistakes. (All the damn time)
D. Learn from others. (Why do you think I read so many blogs?)
E. Be a positive contributor to the blog world. (I am a contributor, not all of it is positive, but I contribute none the less)
F. Love life. (yes please!)
G. Love kids. (Mine yes, but sometimes only because the law says I have to)
The Rules:
1. Must link it back to the creator.
2. Post the rules.
3. Choose 5 people to give it to.
4. Recipients must fill the characteristics above.
5. Create a post to share this.
6. You must thank the winner.
The five people I give this to are, Tismee2 from Squared Off, Jenni from Oscarelli, Miss Grace from Miss Grace's Disgrace, Cameron over at Get The Stink Off and Cape Cod Gal from Diamond in the Rough.
Is this enough Sunday morning radomness for you guys. Good, I'm exhausted. Time for a nap.
