He's Lucky He's Cute

I just spent 15 minutes trying to recapture POW Sam Kitty. His last jail break occurred right as I was taking LaLa out to the bus, in the middle of a wind storm. The wind naturally terrifying the prisoner cat means that he took cover under my deck; the gigantic deck on the back of my house. For 15 minutes I had to coax, plead, threaten, coo, and cuss at Sam Kitty before he would come close enough for me to scruff him on the back of his neck and drag him out. Little bastard.

Poor Sam Kitty. 'Cute' is definitely a help when they do these things!! I hate wind too though so I sympathise ;) My Cat Paddy stands at the door glaring at the wind then huffs and turns back to the warm chair where he spends most of his day.
When the wind is ripping, the cats aren't scared..they are disgusted. Timmy will endure most weather, even rain, but the wind sends him indoors and to the comfort of the human beds. Marm doesn't go out much these days anyways. Pilchard NEVER comes in(we thing he has been cohabiting with the neighbours-who call him 'Tiddy') and little Doody-cat is so small...the wind would just blow him away so his best option is my lap.
this is just one of the 3.456,789 reasons that it is okay to drink before noon.
Don't you hate it when they get some crazy idea like that in their heads?
having spent half a morning trying to get a rabbit out from under a bed...I feel your pain.

He is so sweet. Pretty kitty.
That little guy has a lot tenacity. He gets an A for effort.
So Sam Kitty is an indoor cat with an outdoor attitude.
LOL Kat! Have done this often with my daughter's cat, who insists he wants to be outside even in the wind, rain, etc.!
If cats weren't cute, no one would put up with their antics.
I gave up trying to keep my cats in.
This is one of the many reasons I don't own a cat!!

Freakin adorable!!!
Ugh, I have a cat who does this too, and I want to strangle her for it!
Your right, he is SO lucky he is cute!
Aw, but you did it; you're such a good kitty mom!
He should be like BooBoo was. An indoor outdoor cat. Just don't tell him to hunt or you will have dead birds and mice on your doorstep.

XOXO to everyone
Awww poor Sam Kitty. Moving can be so hard on them eh? I must have had to recapture my Tigger about 15 times before he learned to just stay put!
I know what you mean. Our cats are kept in side and they always try to make a run for it. We have too many cyotes. to let them out.

And he certainly is a cute.
He looks traumatized. Up the catnip?
They are all lucky they are cute.
