Snow Day

School was cancelled today due to the light snow we have received (and is still falling). Of course I didn't find out until coming back inside from waiting for the nonexistent school bus for 10 minutes. When I came inside I had 2 missed phone calls and a text telling me school was cancelled. Just my luck, froze my ass off for no reason.

Of course my root canal appointment for this afternoon is still a go too.

It takes almost a damn blizzard here to cancel school. It started snowing last night here &we got 1-3" overnight. It will continue for another 4-6" today and make driving miserable but school will not be canceled.

It seems like a lot of people like snow days (who aren't kids). I'm not in love with them.

They cancelled work too. My husband is working from home. I'll trade you HIM for your root canal :))

LOL at smocha's comment ^ We only have light snow on the ground, but it's headed our way from England. Yay! As homeschoolers though, we don't get snow days, but I could take it if I wanted.

We have a chance of snow flurries here. If anyone sees a flake, the whole town shuts down. I don't think any Charlestonians know what a snow shuvel looks like. Never having to deal with the icy roads suits me just fine .

at least you will have plenty of stuff to keep it cool right? supposed to get a dusting here tonight, grocery stores are already bare. lol.

Maybe you could suck on some snow a bit before going in and then your mouth would already be numb before they give you the shots. Just an idea.

Our temps in Florida dropped into the twenties last night and I thought our local government would call a snow day, they didn't know what to do about it. Um, turn on the heat?
