Today was LaLa's first day of school. You know those perfect days where you get the perfect going to school picture. Everyone is smiling, the kid is smiling with excitement and the weather is impeccable. Yeah, we didn't get that. Instead we got a morning where it was pouring down rain, LaLa was ticked because her father was late and the Jeep wasn't here to take her to school. She was totally freaking out because she thought she was going to miss her first day back to preschool. My husband pulled up into the driveway, we rushed to get into the car because I can't find my umbrellas*, and we hurried off to school without taking a single picture. What a fine way to start the school year. At least we were keepin' it real.
* The kids have stolen my umbrellas and only God knows where they are**.
** They have probably been broke and put in the trash.

Why does my newsfeed not like your site? It never tells me about your updates. Sigh.
Better find those umbrella's, you're going to need them soon.
Well, it might not have been a Kodak moment, but it sounds like it could have been a sitcom moment. You can tell her this story when she refuses to go to school when she gets older. Remind her how happy she once was to go.
Hope her day was better once she got there!!
Do-over tomorrow morning. Hope it's not raining, and I hope she had a great day!
Keeping it real is what I aim for - it makes things easier. Do a "do-over" and reenactment to get those pictures, it will make for a good story when looking back on the pics.
