Spiders

So, we have reached spring, or as I call it spider season. You see, spider season lasts from the time the daffodils bloom until roughly when the first snow falls. Now in Missouri, we had B.A.M.S. or roughly translated to Big Ass Missouri Spiders. Now, I know to expect E.G.A.D.S. or English Gigantic Abnormally Disproportionate Spiders. Now let me warn you, if you hear me screaming....it is just a spider. I hate spiders. No. I REALLY hate spiders.

Spiders lurk...they lay in wait and then fall or crawl upon you!! I am not a fan of spiders either. They are out there....waiting!! Yikes!!!

Same here. We have White Tail Spiders here which like to bite. I'll take earwigs and mice over spiders any day!
I wondered what that noise was...
I don't like abnormally large spiders or large groups of spiders. Little spiders by themselves are ok.
I've had too many run-ins with the indigenous spiders here. Blimey, but the grow them big. I've seen them carry off small dogs ;)
I hate spiders! Mum gets really big ones in her house. She names them. I worry about her sometimes.
The spiders are large here. Not sure what is up with that.
I've just crossed the UK off my list. Damn. I'll have to visit in winter.
AARRGGHHHH the S word... do you know i can go the the biggest dog and cuddle it.... i can stroke a snake... i can touch maggots but a spider!!
glad we don't get them too big over here.. I'll listen for your screams xx
I'm afraid I have sort of a love/hate relationship with spiders. They completely terrify me, but when I go to kill one, I start thinking about Charlotte and her web, and I end up catching it and setting it free outside. Which always makes me think of that line from Annie Hall, when Woody Allen kills a spider in Diane Keaton's bathroom, and when she starts to cry, he asks "What did you want me to do? Capture and rehabilitate it?"
Same goes here...where we lived before-no spiders...we move here...spiders everywhere! BUT - no cockroaches...which to the average person would be a pretty even trade-off. NOT ME! Spiders BITE and are all movey with all their 20 legs that make them look supery bigger than their little body. Cockroaches are bigger but they DON'T BITE. Yep - clearly the winner! But - we are here now and I don't get a choice so any spiders in my home - pay attention! MOVE ON because I'm going to squish your little guts out and toss you in the sewer if I catch you in my house and you make my 16 year old daughter scream like there is an axe murderer with bad style sense in her room stealing her cell phone!
I was cleaning out the boys' sandbox yesterday and found the MOAS (mother of all spiders) hiding underneath. There were ear-piercing shrills and unintelligible syllables all over the place. I was literally incapable of forming a complete word. Gah!

On a side note, you aren't possibly from the St. Louis area, are you? We're about to find out where we're moving and St. Louis is one of the possibilities. I know nothing about the area and could use some help.
